New Ulm Kaiserhoff won't field a team in 2017
Posted on Mar 17, 2017

The New Ulm Kaiserhoff, Class C members of the River Valley League, will not field a team in 2017. They will regroup and hope to field a team in 2018.

With all Class C RVL teams scheduled to play each other twice this season, the remaining eight C teams suddenly have two schedule openings (which they may, or may not, choose to fill). The rest of the league schedule will remain as-is, other than the 8/9 play-in game for Region 6C.

Here's the announcement from New Ulm Baseball Association President Bob Skillings:

With great reluctance the New Ulm Baseball Association voted recently to fold the New Ulm Kaiserhoff baseball club. The reason being was number of ballplayers. We've lost some of our regulars to out of town jobs and do not have enough replacements to field consistent numbers. Our hope and intention is that the player numbers will return for us to revive the Kaiserhoff team.

Thank you for your support over the years and best wishes with the River Valley League going forward.
